The merit of hiking trails in Hong Kong is that hikers can enjoy scenery of both the sea and highland.
Israel
- Israel National Trail: 1,000 kilometres (620 mi), all of them inside the Green Line, from kibbutz Dan to Eilat (north to south), covering many historic and scenic points including some urban areas.
- Jerusalem Trail: 40-kilometre (25 mi) trail, connects the Israel National Trail with Jerusalem and the area of the old city.
- Jesus Trail: 120 kilometres (75 mi) in the Galilee region, connecting important sites from the life of Jesus. The trail begins in Nazareth and passes through Sepphoris, Cana, the horns of Hattin, Arbel Cliffs, Capernaum, Tabgha, the Mount of Beatitudes, the Jordan River, and Mount Tabor.
- Golan Trail: 130 kilometres (81 mi) from Mt. Hermon (1500m) to the sea of Galilee (-200m)
- Sea to sea trail: 70 kilometres (43 mi) from the sea of Galilee to the Mediterranean Sea
- Valley of the springs TRail (Emek HaMaayanot). A trek of about 140 km, around the Valley of springs near the See of Galilee.

- Hokkaidō Nature Trail: 4,585 kilometres (2,849 mi) all over the island of Hokkaidō
- Tōhoku Nature Trail: 4,374 kilometres (2,718 mi) within prefectures of Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata and Fukushima
- Chubu Hokuriku Nature Trail: 4,029 kilometres (2,504 mi) within prefectures of Gunma, Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui, Nagano, Gifu and Shiga

Nepal
- The Great Himalaya Trail (GHT) is proposed to follow the Greater Himalaya Range from Namche Barwa in Tibet to Nanga Parbat in Pakistan forming the world's highest mountain trail. It will connect five Asian countries: Bhutan, China, India, Nepal and Pakistan and cover more than 4,500 kilometres (2,800 mi). The Nepal section has been walked and documented. It uses existing trails, many of which are trekking, trade or pilgrimage routes, and no new trails have been built. The trail is approximately 1,600 kilometres (990 mi) long starting near to Kanchenjunga in the west of Nepal and ending in Humla in the east. - Trek to Everest Base Camp, an 18-day trail to the base camp of Mt. Everest (see Everest Base Camp Trek at wikitravel)
- Annapurna Circuit, a 3-week loop trek through the Annapurna range (see Annapurna Circuit at wikitravel)
- Manaslu Circuit: also a 3-week loop trek through the adjacent range to the Annapurna region—the Manaslu region.
